April 5, Saturday- Rotary Barbecue 11AM until gone
Salute to America's Greatest Generation. 10AM-3PM - Display of WWII vehicles and military encampment presented by Military Living History Society. 11AM-12 Noon - Lunch catered by the American Legion to benefit the Legion roof fund. At the Town Square Band Stand 11:30AM-12:15PM - Patriotic songs sung by the Family School Chorus and HCS Music Depts. 12:15 PM - Welcoming remarks. 12:25 PM - Benediction 12:30 PM - Presentation of the Fred S. Shakespeare Plaque to the Shakespeare family, presented by US Congressman Chris Gibson to honor all those of Hancock's "Greatest Generation". 1:00 PM-3:30 PM - Music by Cobblestone Crossing

Saturday- French Woods concert band and symphony Patriotic Pops
July 12,
Saturday - noon to 4pm the Community Unity group will be
coordinating activities for all ages in the Square. Some of the
events planned include: a UV clothing Fashion Show; music and dance
performances; a puppet show; Child Safety ID’s provided by Masonic
Lodge 552; games; arts & crafts and hat contest voting. Information
to raise awareness about the dangers of melanoma and ways to provide
protection from the damaging UV rays will be supplied by Coppertone,
UV Skinz and Lourdes Hospital. And, of course, there will be food &
drinks available too! Weekend proceeds will be donated to the
Melanoma Research Foundation.

Friday- LABOR DAY
The Hancock Community Education Foundation is organizing the Annual
Harvest Festival on Friday, October 10, and Saturday, October 11. Friday
October 10 -customer appreciation day for local businesses please let us
know if you would like to be included.

October 11 - 9:00 am 4:00 PM Vendors and Children’s Activities at the Town
Square 1:00 PM 7th
Annual Tractor Parade- Everyone is welcome to participate! If you are interested contact Deanna at 607-637-5262. The Education Foundation is in need of vendors to sell Crafts, Food, Refreshments, Handmade Goods and Independent Consultants. Also needed is someone to run Children’s Activities and volunteers to help with this event.
October 13, Monday - COLUMBUS DAY
December 6 The 6th
Annual Hancock Christmas Parade, sponsored by The Hancock Chamber of Commerce,
and The Hancock Fire Department, and The Hancock Partners will be held December 6. Line
up is 5:00 pm at (Fireman’s Park) Parade at 6:00 pm (Snow date December 7)
Following the parade and arrival of Santa
at the Town Square
there will be pictures with Santa at the Village Christmas Tree at
The Hancock Town Square, as
well as hot chocolate and cookies. The

NOTE: All concerts begin at 7 PM. The Bainbridge concert on July 11
begins at 7:30 PM.
